Pacific Steel replaces 200 workers after probe

LOS ANGELES Pacific Steel Casting Co. is in the process of replacing 200 workers, or roughly a third of its work force, after a government investigation found them to be working without proper documents.
The Berkeley, Calif.-based steel foundry is now putting new employees in place following an audit by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency.
"Were almost at the end of the terminations," a company spokeswoman said, adding that the process has been a "challenge."....
