LME copper prices above $7,500 in officials ahead of US jobs data

Copper prices settled above $7,500 per tonne in official trading on Thursday as the market awaited the latest US unemployment data.  Three-month copper settled at $7,519/20, up from $7,425/27 on Wednesday, holding on to gains made earlier as European stock markets opened higher. Trading was steady ahead of the publication of the figures for US unemployment claims posted at 13:30 GMT, after the official session. Department of Labor figures showed 364,000 new unemployment claims were made last week, from 366,000 previously....
