Spanish ferrous scrap prices rise on speculation over January increases

Prices for ferrous scrap imported into Spain increased this week on the back of international competition for scrap from Asia and Turkey, market participants told Metal Bulletin.

Shredded scrap prices increased to €330-335 ($432-439) per tonne cfr north Spain, up from €320-325 cfr on December 13.

HMS 1&2 prices rose to €305-310 per tonne cfr north Spain, up from $285-290 on December 2. ....
