Shanghai copper rises 3.1% week-on-week

Shanghai Futures Exchange copper prices ended up 3.1% for the week, after a few rounds of positive data from the US. The SHFE’s March copper contract settled at 55,470 yuan ($8,708) per tonne on Friday, up 1.6% from a day earlier. New US jobless claims fell to their lowest since April 2008 last week, according to the US department of labour. And earlier in the week, Chinese customs confirmed copper imports at....
