European secondary aluminium stable as market signs off for 2011

European secondary aluminium prices remained stable on Friday December 23 with much of the market having ceased activities for the year, while sporadic sales for first-quarter delivery were made within last week’s ranges.
DIN226 pressure diecasting ingot stayed at €1,620-1,720 per tonne, with prices at the top of the range found in Germany and lower prices seen further south.
“We’ve finalised all the 2011 details and are now looking to 2012,” a producer said. “We’re fully sold for January, but....
