Wire producers association’s caucus push gains support

WASHINGTON The American Wire Producers Association (AWPA) is nearing its goal of finalizing a group of lawmakers dedicated to wire and wire rod issues, according to its director of government affairs, Janet Kopenhaver.
Twenty lawmakers have signed up for the U.S. House Wire and Wire Products Caucus, which held its first meeting in September, and two others are showing interest, Kopenhaver told AMM. The caucus has a goal of reaching 30 congressional members by its next meeting at the beginning of March.....
