Base metals edge up in Shanghai

Base metals on the Shanghai Futures Exchange moved up slightly on Wednesday, with copper gaining 0.2% and aluminium up by 0.3%. SHFE March copper settled at 55,270 yuan ($8,689) per tonne, up 130 yuan from Tuesday’s session. Trading volume increased by 5,252 lots to 386,680 lots.
