NEW YORK Letters have been sent to 115 parties who may be liable for shouldering some of the cost of cleaning up former secondary copper smelter Chemetco Inc.
"Its the beginning of the process," Mike Joyce, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency regional community involvement coordinator, told AMM. "Once we send out general notice letters, then we determine if these 115 people might be responsible." ....
