NEW YORK Kennecott Utah Copper LLC is being sued for as much as $68 million by environmental and health groups in Utah concerned that failure to comply with state regulations is allegedly causing excess pollution.
The groups also are asking that a federal judge require the Rio Tinto Plc subsidiary to comply with a limit on the amount of material moved at the Bingham Canyon Mine, according to documents filed in U.S. District Court in Utah. ....
