Steel trading 'alive and well': AIIS

HOUSTON — The American Institute for International Steel (AIIS) hopes that the trading community can find common ground with its domestic counterparts as it continues to expand its membership base up and down the supply chain, board executives told AMM.

"In a difficult market, there is something to be said for finding common ground with our domestic colleagues. And we have more common ground than we think," said AIIS chairman John Foster, chief executive officer of Coutinho & Ferrostaal Inc.’s North America division. "We expect more domestic mill producers to be part of our group in the future."....
