US wind tower coalition files trade petitions

CHICAGO — The Wind Tower Trade Coalition, which represents domestic manufacturers of utility-scale wind towers, has petitioned the Commerce Department and the International Trade Commission (ITC) to conduct anti-dumping investigations into imports of Chinese and Vietnamese wind towers as well as a countervailing duty investigation into Chinese wind towers.
The coalition alleges dumping margins of 64.37 percent for China and 59.11 percent for Vietnam.
The domestic industry is suffering severe harm in employment levels, pricing, production and profits as a result of Chinese and Vietnamese dumping, according to Alan H. Price, an attorney at Washington law firm Wiley Rein LLP, which represents the coalition.....
