TORONTO Welspun Corp. Ltd. plans to build a $65-million electric-resistance welded (ERW) line pipe coating plant in the United States.
The India-based company said Wednesday that the planned facility, expected to be commissioned by March 2013, will have an annual capacity of 175,000 tons.
The new plant is aimed at serving oil and gas customers in a North American ERW line pipe market, which is experiencing "strong growth," Welspun said in comments released with its fiscal third-quarter financial report.....
