Ezz Steel results show stronger focus on longs, domestic sales

Ezz Steel’s sales over the first nine months of last year show significant changes in both domestic and export demand, as well as the company’s shift towards longs production. The Cairo-based company reported consolidated sales of E£14.2 billion ($2.35 billion) for the period in its financial statement – 22% higher than the E£11.64 billion achieved over the corresponding period in 2010. Total long product sales from Ezz Dekheila Steel (EZDK), as well as its ESR and ERM divisions, made up 73% of revenues at E£10.4 million.
