Outages depress Haynes shipments

NEW YORK High-performance-alloys maker Haynes International Inc. posted lower-than-expected shipping volumes in its fiscal first quarter as a number of unplanned outages resulted in "unanticipated delays."
Kokomo, Ind.-based Haynes shipped 5.1 million pounds during the three months ended Dec. 31, down 23.7 percent from 6.68 million pounds in the previous three months although up 16.3 percent from 4.4 million pounds in the final three months of 2010.....
