Vallourec's Ohio OCTG plant nears completion

TORONTO — Vallourec SA is "nearing completion" of its new $650-million pipe mill in Youngstown, Ohio, with the mill on schedule to start commercial production this summer as it ramps up to the targeted capacity, it said.

Construction is also under way on its new premium threading facilities in the United States and Saudi Arabia, with the operations slated to come online in 2012 and 2013, the French steel pipe and tube maker said in its full-year earnings report Wednesday.....
