TORONTO — Atlas Tube Inc. will supply "jumbo" hollow structural sections (HSS) to the North American market in partnership with Japan’s Nippon Steel & Sumikin Metal Products Co. Ltd. (NSMP).
The partnership will allow Atlas Tube, a subsidiary of Chicago-based JMC Steel Group Inc., to offer HSS in 18- to 22-inch-square size ranges and in wall thicknesses up to 0.875 inch, sizes not available in North America, it said.....
