Covanta to boost nonferrous metals recovery

NEW YORK — Waste-to-energy specialist Covanta Energy Corp. has signed a strategic alliance with metal separation equipment manufacturer Steinert US Inc. in a bid to boost its nonferrous metals recovery operations.

Walton, Ky.-based Steinert will provide equipment, spare parts, application engineering and planning support, and maintenance to the nonferrous recovery systems at Covanta’s 41 waste-to-energy facilities in the United States and Canada, according to Covanta.....
