PITTSBURGH A Michigan congressman has introduced a package of five bills aimed at curbing metals theft in the state.
The proposed legislationthe Scrap Metal Regulatory Package Actwould establish a statewide licensing system for recyclers, and require scrapyard employees to undergo training and have access to a metals theft alert program. It would also prohibit the purchase....
