Metal theft claims up 81%, Ohio worst-hit in US: NICB

NEW YORK Metal theft insurance claims have increased by 81 percent over the last three years, according to a report from the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB).
The report identified 25,083 claims between Jan. 1, 2009, and Dec. 31, 2011, an 81-percent increase from the 13,861 identified claims in NCIBs preceding 2006-2008 report (AMM, Nov. 19, 2009).....
