Obama speeds up review of Keystone pipeline

TORONTO President Obama on Thursday appeared to be pushing policies that could speed up development of the southern leg of TransCanada Corp.s proposed Keystone XL crude oil pipeline.
The president has told government officials to expedite their review of a pipeline from Cushing, Okla., to Port Arthur, Texas, as well as other domestic pipelines because of an "acute" need for improved pipeline infrastructure.
Obama did not mention the Calgary, Alberta-based energy company by name or refer explicitly to the Keystone XL pipeline in his presidential memorandum.....
