Hindustan Copper aims to quadruple its copper mining capacity to 12.4 million tonnes by 2017 to help make up for a shortage in domestic copper supply, chairman and md Shakeel Ahmed told Metal Bulletin. “Copper demand in India is about 600,000 tpy.
