US calls for WTO meeting over Airbus subsidies

NEW YORK The United States is calling for a World Trade Organization (WTO) Dispute Settlement Body meeting to address the European Unions failure to end alleged illegal subsidies to Airbus SAS.
"We refuse to stand by while American businesses and workers are disadvantaged," U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk said in a statement. "The European Unions aircraft subsidies have cost American aerospace companies tens of billions of dollars in lost revenue, which has cost American workers their jobs and hurt their families and communities."....
