Zambia lifts mining licences ban; defaulters risk cancellation

Zambia has started processing minerals exploration and mining licences, lifting a suspension imposed on miners last year to clamp down on speculation and address allegations of corruption.
The government will start taking new applications for mining rights and mineral processing licences in June, mines minister Christopher Yaluma said.
