FSA fines Glencore-Xstrata merger banker Hannam $721,000

JP Morgan Cazenove senior banker Ian Hannam has been fined £450,000 ($720,591) by the UK’s banking watchdog, the Financial Services Authority (FSA), for passing on confidential information to prospective clients, according to a statement released by the regulator on Tuesday April 3.
Hannam resigned from JP Morgan this morning following the FSA’s ruling, according to press reports.
