Minera Carmen to invest $50m in Chilean iron ore project

Chile-based miner Minera Carmen is to invest $50 million to develop a new iron ore mine, named San Francisco, in the country’s northern Atacama region, according to the domestic environmental agency SEA.
A subsidiary of Leonardo Farkas’ Minera Santa Fe, the mining company plans to process 100 million tonnes of iron ore, resulting in 25 million tonnes of....
