UK aluminium scrap prices edge down as exports fall

UK aluminium scrap prices fell again on Wednesday April 4, as merchants were forced to keep more material in the UK market as unfavourable exchange rates and issues over ship availability affected exports.
“It looks as if there’s quite a bit of resistance on the scrap export front,” an ingot producer said. “It should help get the scrap prices down, and the euro rate is not....
