Indian mills raise domestic HRC prices by $20 per tonne

Indian mills have raised domestic hot rolled coil (HRC) prices by Rs1,000-1,250 ($20-23) per tonne this week for April sales, in line with rising international prices and increased customs duties.
Mills such as JSW Steel and Essar Steel have confirmed the increases, pushing HRC prices to Rs38,000-38,500 per tonne ex-mill compared with last month’s Rs36,750-37,250 ex-mill.
