PITTSBURGH — Schnitzer Steel Industries Inc.’s recycling segment benefited from higher revenue and sales volumes during its fiscal second quarter vs. the previous three months, although its results faltered compared with a year earlier.
The company’s Metals Recycling Business posted operating earnings of nearly $20 million for the three months ended Feb. 29, up 52.3 percent from the fiscal first quarter on revenue that rose 7.3 percent to $781.9 million.....
