NEW YORK — Nickel scrap tags have fallen on the back of weaker nickel prices and softer demand from stainless producers.
"Whenever nickel falls, everybody holds off," a Northeast scrap dealer said.
"Everybody’s waiting to see what’s going to happen with nickel," a scrap dealer in southeastern Canada said. "I’ve seen a lot of demand slowdown. The (stainless) service centers are hesitant to buy."....
