China’s steel exports spike 48.4% in March

SHANGHAI, China - China’s monthly steel exports exceeded 5 million tonnes in March for the first time since July 2010, according to preliminary Chinese Customs data.

Exports jumped to about 5.03 million tonnes in March, up 48.4 percent from February and 2.4 percent higher year on year, as rising prices outside the Asian nation encouraged more....
