Vedanta 2011 iron ore output down 25% on Karnataka mining ban

Indian miner Vedanta saw iron ore production tumble by more than one-quarter between March 2011 and March 2012, following a ban on iron ore mining in the state of Karnataka and the miner’s discontinuation of operations in Orissa, according to a results statement released on Tuesday April 10.
