The key question being asked at this year’s cobalt conference in Hunan, China, was: how long will the latest price rebound last?
The answer, many believe, is not long – because of the oversupply hanging over the sector and the amount of tertiary material, which is increasingly biting into the market share of cobalt lithium.
“This rebound will last for, at most, one month, because demand is not that good,” a major trader said on the sidelines of the annual conference of the cobalt branch of China Nonferrous Metals....
