Strike at Polish tube plant leads to meltshop's indefinite shutdown

Polish steelmaker Alchemia has indefinitely shut down its Huta Batory meltshop, after 120 striking workers in the division failed to return to work after industrial action.
The plant is operating its pipe-rolling mill but is sourcing round billets from the open market, a spokeswoman....
