Battery demand fuels further cobalt price rises

Strengthening battery demand helped fuel further price rises for cobalt this week, despite a slowdown in trade over the Easter period.
Low-grade prices on the free market rose to $13.80-15.10 per pound on Wednesday April 11 from 13.60-14.75 on Wednesday April 4. The high grade range, meanwhile, climbed to $14.30-15.50 from $14-15.50.
