LOS ANGELES Published prices for wide-flange steel beams are being held steady for May, although buyers say continued discounting from some mills could keep the market under pressure.
Nucor-Yamato Steel Co. has reduced its raw materials surcharge by $10 per ton while increasing its published base price by the same amount, leaving "no change in transaction pricing for May," it told customers. Earlier this month, AMM reduced its consumer....
