Third-quarter copper production increase predicted for BHP

BHP Billiton will see a stronger third quarter in 2012 in terms of copper production as throughput at Escondida increases, according to analysts at RBC Capital Markets.
“Production is forecast at 305,000 tonnes, up from 280,000 tonnes in [the fourth quarter of 2011],” the analysts said.
They are also forecasting higher gold production in the three months ending September 30 2012, of 50,000....
