Vale exports to Asia ‘justify’ 100 mega-ore carriers

Brazilian iron ore major Vale’s exports to Asia would “justify” 100 of the miner’s mega-ore carriers, a spokeswoman at the company told Metal Bulletin on Thursday April 12.
The miner does not, however, have any intention to commission a fleet of 100 Very Large Ore Carriers (VLOCs), contrary to press reports, Vale spokeswoman Fatima Cristina told Metal Bulletin
