TORONTO Evraz Plc boosted crude steel production in the first quarter following the completion of maintenance projects at facilities in the United States, Canada and Russia.
The Moscow-based steelmaker said Monday its worldwide operations produced approximately 4.33 million tonnes of crude steel in the first three months of 2012, up 4.6 percent from 4.14 million tonnes in the fourth quarter of 2011 but down 1.4 percent from 4.394 million tonnes a year ago.....
