Tornado damage idles aerospace facilities

LOS ANGELES The weekend swarm of tornadoes in the Midwest took a toll on the aerospace manufacturing hub of Wichita, Kan., where one of Boeing Co.s major subcontractorsas well as one of Boeings own plantsremained closed Monday.
Spirit AeroSystems Inc., which builds the fuselage for the Boeing 737 as well as fuselage sections for other Boeing commercial aircraft, said week that its Wichita plant will remain down at least through Tuesday as it evaluates the damage and finalizes its plans to bring production back online.....
