Anglo American iron ore output up 17% year-on-year in Q1

In the first quarter of 2012, Anglo American saw iron ore production increase by 17% year-on-year to 11.7 million tonnes after the successful ramp-up of the Kolomela mine and improvements at its Amapá operations in Africa, the company said on April 19.
South African iron ore exports rose by 18% compared with the first three months....
