NEW YORK Brazilian mining company Vale SA produced 63,200 tonnes of nickel during the first quarter, up 7.5 percent from the same year-ago period, although the tally was down 7.8 percent from the preceding quarter.
The biggest gains were recorded in the companys Sudbury operations in Ontario, which rose 57.8 percent year on year to approximately 23,000 tonnes in the first quarter.....
