AISI backs tough US position in India duties row

The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) has backed the US government’s anticipated tough stance against a World Trade Organisation complaint lodged by India over the USA’s duties on certain steel products.
American countervailing duties were needed to protect the US steel industry from “injurious imports”, AISI’s spokesman told Metal Bulletin.
