NEW YORK Steel sheet tags have stabilized after posting marginal increases in recent weeks, steel buyers have told AMM.
Baseline prices for hot-rolled sheet remained steady at $34.50 per hundredweight ($690 per ton) f.o.b. mill this past week, distributors told AMM. "Prices are steady," one service center source told AMM.
"Its rather positive that (the mills) have been able to steady the prices here," a second distributor said. "The stable pricing is a good thing."....
