Producers drive ferrochrome prices higher

NEW YORK — Low-carbon ferrochrome prices are trekking higher in the domestic market, driven by a recent producer push.

"That push has gained a lot of traction, actually," one trader said. "There’s just not a lot of material around, and what there is is held by the producers." ....
