Rebar imports eye post-summer fall

NEW YORK U.S. reinforcing bar imports will continue to be strong into the summer due to orders booked in early 2012, buyers and traders said. But those numbers could drop in the fall as the market is now seeing fewer competitive offers.
"Theres a big risk about imports right now," one buyer said. "When we talk about rebar, were talking about July (delivery) and its still April. Not many people want to buy product three to four months out when the waters ahead are murky."....
