A merger between stainless steel producers Acerinox and Aperam is still unlikely, analysts told Metal Bulletin this week.
A potential Acerinox-Aperam merger was first mooted after German steelmaker ThyssenKrupp announced on January 31 that its Inoxum stainless steel arm was to merge with Finland’s Outokumpu in a deal valuing the former at €2.7 billion ($3.5 billion).
