CHICAGO North America marked a bright spot for Ternium SA, with sales and shipments both rising in the market as overall net income fell 21.7 percent during the first quarter.
The Luxembourg-based producer of flat-rolled and long steel products recorded North American sales of nearly $1.28 billion, up 6.5 percent from $1.2 billion in the first quarter of 2011, on shipments that rose 4.2 percent to 1.34 million tons.....
