ASIAN FUTURES: Asian business has grown by an annual 15-20% – Marex Spectron

Business conducted on the London Metal Exchange by brokers for their clients in Asia has grown by 15-20% annually in recent years, Marex Spectron md Gavin Prentice estimated.
“In metals, over the past ten years, the market in Asia has grown by 15-20% every year. We’ve certainly seen that kind of growth in our business, in terms of new clients, client acquisitions, new FCMs being built in Hong Kong serving the high net-worth individuals,” Prentice said.
The privately-owned brokerage firm is increasing its presence in a number of key regional markets, and its offices in Hong Kong and Singapore are crucial to that, Prentice said.
Marex Spectron opened an office in Hong Kong in February 2011, where it now employs a five-strong team of metal traders and sales staff, backed up 22 people in....
