Vimetco sales rose 18% in 2011

Switzerland-based aluminium producer Vimetco boosted sales by 18% in 2011 after ramping up production of primary aluminium.
Primary aluminium output reached 992,000 tonnes, up from 876,000 tonnes in 2010, the company said.
Profiting from an increase in aluminium prices, overall sales at Vimetco grew to $2.7 billion last year, from $2.3 billion in 2010.
