SSAB 1st-qtr. profits down 22.9% year-on-year

SSAB reported operating profits of SKr479 million ($71.3 million), down 22.9% year-on-year as its capacity utilisation rate dropped, a company spokeswoman said on Friday April 27.
“During the first quarter of 2012 we were only running one blast furnace in Oxelösund until March, so capacity utilisation was 80%,” she said. ....
